Ceramic work (2024)

In January to February of 2024, I took a pottery class for RISD’s 2024 Wintersession term. Even though I had never done pottery before, I quickly fell in love with the art form and its history.

For this Wintersession class final, I created a series of bowls inspired by the components within a Japanese osechi ryori (御節料理), a traditional dish prepared for the Japanese New Year.
